"[Come] and, like living stones, be ourselves built [into] a spiritual house for a hold (dedicated, consecrated) priesthood to offer up [those] spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 2:5
"Living stones.." Ah, Lord,You desire that we be like living stones, built into a spiritual house with You as the chief cornerstone. Jesus, we desire to offer up spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable and pleasing to God through You. Show us the way. Help us be strong in You and hold fast to the ways of he Father so that we might not be like those who rejected You but ruather to be ones who are formed into Your image, fitting rightly in the household of God, being dedicated and consecrated unto You, a royal priesthood offering up our sacrifices of praise unto the Most Holy One. Jesus, we need to see You as the Chief Cornerstone, knowing without You anything we build will fall and crumble. Father, we submit to Your hand, that of the Great Potter, and ask that You form us into that which is pleasing to You, In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
