Many of God's people are unaware that healing was manifested through God much earlier than when Jesus walked upon the earth! The very first account in Scripture is found in Genesis 20:17, "So Abraham prayed to God; and God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants. Then they bore children;"
Sickness can be brought on by many means; sin, to fulfill God's purposes, the natural environment, genetic dispositions, etc. But God is still well able to heal all of these as we are faithful and patient to trust in Him. We must be aware that it is God's desire to heal us. All throughout Scripture we find it is God's will that we be healed. What Jesus did we can do also as we follow in the footsteps of our Lord. It is time for us to walk in the fullness of God's blessings toward us that were paid for by His Beloved Son.
As we read in Psalm 107:20, "He sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." May your faith rise up to meet Him who has brought healing in His wings. Be all that you can be in Christ Jesus, walling in wholeness, "shalom" - complete, nothing missing, complete in Him.
