Holy God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit! How wonderfully You dwell and work together O awesome Three in One! You model for us the beauty of oneness as You work in Your Kingdom in complete and perfect unity. You love to see Your children mimic Your oneness and accord.
As we pray for new, God-led leaders in the coming elections, we ask that they will be leaders who inspire unity and cooperation between all factions and interests in our nation. Give us leaders who can reach into all political parties, belief systems and contingents in our nation so we may be united in You to serve Your highest purposes in the world. This we ask in Your Son's glorious name, Amen.

Yes, Holy One, please bring unity in our land once again, starting from the body of Christ down to the government of this country and then onto the people we ask in Jesus' name.
Father, it has been heartbreaking to watch, year after year, as our government wars against itself and in the midst of their warring against the opposing political party we see the American people suffering. This has happened in the church as well, denomination against denomination, pastors against pastors. Holy One, this ought not be so. We beseech You, heavenly Father, to bring healing to our land and restore us back to You through You Son, Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
