Precious Lord, how awesome You are. There is no one like You. Who can claim that they set the stars in the sky, created the earth and set it on its axis or formed a man from the dirt of the earth that He called into being? Who could love like You do and declare that we should pray for our enemies? Whose majestic hand could place a rainbow in the sky and declare a covenant promise to mankind? Oh Lord, that I but knew You more, that my eyes were open to all of Your wonder and beauty, that my heart were to enter the fullness of Your heart. If I am so amazed by You now, how much more would I desire to bow before You, worshipping You night and day, desiring to do Your will and to bless You? If not only I but all those who call upon Your name were to do so?
Holy One, as I praise You this day I also set a prayer up before You. Help us to know You more and, through Christ Jesus, become conformed into You likeness for Your glory and honor I pray. Amen.
