Holy One,
It is already mid-morning and the busyness of the day has already been in force for hours. I want to take the time to stop and acknowledge my need for You today.
Please guide our steps as we go about this day. Let not the responsibilities and requirements of the day steal away the sweet fellowship that is found in You. Remind us to not only take time to smell the roses that You placed here on earth for our enjoyment but also to stop and recognize that without You this day will not go smoothly, that Your peace would be set in place. If we think we can go this day without You being placed in our minds and hearts first then we are deceived. Just as Matthew 6:33 says "to seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness than all these things will be added to us", so do we need to wake with You on our minds and ask for You to be without us throughout this day - first. You are to be first because You deserve to be first.
Please continue to teach us Your truth and reveal Yourself more and more to us for in knowing You there is such a peace and joy that fills our hearts - no matter what the circumstances might be around us. We lift this up in the name above all names, the name of Jesus. Glory! Bless You, Lord, this day and thank You for being with us. Amen.
