Heavenly Father, we seek You in this hour as we have been hearing all the reports of Hurrican Sandy moving along the east coast. Much devastation and loss is following her path. Holy One, we cry out not only for protection but for those who are lost and without Christ. Father, have mercy upon them and upon us. Please set up divine appointments for those who do not know You and personal encounters with Your Spirit for those who do not have anyone around them to share Christ with them. Please meet them where they are at that they might have an opportunity to recieve Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior. And may Your heart for the lost rise up in Your people that we would intercede on their behalf. Help us to love them as You do and recognize those who are in Christ do not have to worry should we leave this world but those who do not know Him are doomed to everlasting damnation. May our hearts break for them as does Yours, Merciful God.
And Father, may the peace that passes understanding quiet not only the storm in the natural but also the storm that might try to rise in Your people. May we have confidence that Your Word is yea and amen and when You say You will look after Your people that You will do so, though a thousand fall at our side or ten thousand at our right hand, it shall not harm us for we dwell in the shelter of the Most High rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Praise Your Holy Name! Thank You, oh Father, for Your faithfulness. All glory and honor is due You now and forever. Amen.
