Days of Awe - Day 4
Holy One, as I am meditating on Matthew 22:37 this fourth day of Awe (Love the Lord Your God with all your heart, and all your strength and with all your mind) I can't help but recognize that I have not placed You first in all things. Such a sense of brokenness and repentance has filled my being as uncontrollable tears cascade down my face. You who are worth of all glory and honor have often been taken for granted in my life. You Who has been so good to me deserves my obedience, and whole being. I/we, oh God, were created for Your good pleasure and not for my/our own. Please forgive me/us for giving You all the reverence that is due You. Be merciful to me/us who are sinners. Holy Spirit, help us to search Him out like royal kings to know His heart, His ways, His love that we might display it in our own lives to a lost and dying world. I/we are desperate for you, oh God, and cry out to You asking for Your forgiveness and Your leading, in Jesus' Holy Name. Amen.
