So far we have covered these books in the New Testament:
Matthew
Mark
Luke
John
Acts
Romans
1 Corinthians
2 Corinthians
Galatians
Ephesians
Philippians
Colossians
1Timothy
2 Timothy
Titus
Philemon
Hebrews

This week we are going to cover James and 1 & 2 Peter. James is believed to have been written around A.D. 60 and gives practical instructions in walking the Christian walk and focuses on faith. The apostle Peter is the writer of the next two books. 1 Peter was written between A.D. 63 and 64 to the Christians who were scattered in Asia Minor. Peter encourages the believer to rejoice in persecution and gives them advice that though Satan might come against them, there is great assurance and hope for what the future holds for them in Christ Jesus. The next book of Peter was written between A.D. 64 and 66 and is for all Christians. Peter encourages the believer to grow Christ and to learn Scripture which is our guide for a faithful walk and he also instructs the believer to be aware of false teachers.
