This week’s book of the New Testament 1, 2, 3 John and Jude. The 3 books of John were written between A.D. 85 and 96. The first book is written to all Christians and is telling believers not to be deceived by false doctrines. The second seems to be written to Cyria and her children and is also a warning to not follow after false teachers and encourages them to live godly lives. The third to Gaius, offering words of encouragement for his service to the Lord and His people. Jude was written between A.D. 65 and 80 where John is striving to show the people the false teaching that is being presented which is a form of Gnosticism. John warns the people of their responsibility and need not to sin against God by following after false teachings.
