This week’s book of the Bible is Zephaniah. It was written between 640 and 612 B.C. Zephaniah comes to minister to Judah just a matter of years before total destruction comes to this land. It is during the time that young Josiah is king. Josiah starts out making good reforms and such for the people of Judah but it is not enough to keep the people from following their sinful ways. Judah is warned of God’s coming judgment but it does not stop the people. We must not be like them. God convicts us of our sin so that we will turn to Him and try to sin no more. Let us not be like this people who do not listen to God’s warning.
