Since today is Father's Day it is a great day to acknowledge our heavenly Father. In the Old Testament the people did not know God as their Father. While many names were given to Him then, "Father" was not one of them. We read in Galatians 4:6, "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father." Thanks to the finished work on the cross by Christ Jesus we have the opportunity to becomes sons and daughters of Almighty God - if we believe on the one that He sent, His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, accepting Jesus as our Lord knowing He was raised from the dead.
Today let us remember to give thanks and praise to our Father God for in Him we have the best Daddy in all the world!
