Making Words From the Books of the Bible - August 6, 2007

Hi all,

So far we have looked at these books in the Bible:

Genesis
Exodus
Leviticus
Numbers
Deuteronomy
Joshua
Judges
Ruth
1 Samuel
2 Samuel
1 Kings
2 Kings

Now we are going to look at 1 & 2 Chronicles. 1 Chronicles is written between 450 and 400 B.C. The author is unknown but it might possibly be Ezra. It covers about 3,000 years, beginning at the creation of Adam to the birth of David. It shows the royal lineage from Adam to David and then follows with the righteous reign of David and his religious guidance of the nations as He seeks God.

2 Chronicles is written during the same time period as the first book. Both books are written from a priest's point of view, looking at the nations's religious history. 2 Chronicles records the history of the Southern Kingdom of Judah, starting from the reign of Solomon and ending with the Babylonian exile.

Again, please do not use the numbers (1 & 2) of these books but have fun making words with this weeks books of the Bible:

1 & 2 CHRONICLES

Hi all,

Well those are some good words you found in Chronicles. How about any one else? Want to give it a try?

God bless!
