This week’s book of the Bible is Lamentations. It is probable that the author of this book was the prophet Jeremiah and was written between 586 and 585 B.C. The title itself speaks of the time Jerusalem went through, lamenting of its destruction and captivity. It is a sad time in Jerusalem’s history but God had sent His prophets to warn the people to turn back to Him or this would happen.
