This weeks book of the Bible is Haggai and was written about 520 B.C. It is written several years after the first exiles return to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple of God. The people begin to overlook the work of the Temple, looking to their own needs. Haggai, inspired by God, encourages the people to get back to building the Temple for God’s glory.
