“The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant.” {Psalm 25:14}
This verse is read in the Amplified as such, “The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear [revere and worship] Him, an d He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning.” During a service at the church that my husband and I attended, a prophetic word given in which God was calling out to His people desiring to draw them nearer to Him and for them to know of His will and His ways. How interesting to read in Proverbs 1:7, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” It’s further interesting to note where this Scripture is placed, “1:7”. The number “1” stands for “primacy” and “beginning”. The number “7” stands for “perfection”, thus we could say that this verse in Proverbs, being a book of wisdom, shows through the first (1) chapter, seventh (7) verse that “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge” thus fear (reverence and worship) of the Lord is the beginning of us becoming perfected in Him!
Once we have this fear of the Lord and spend time worshipping Him and reverencing Him, He will show us His promises and ways toward us. It is a time of drawing closer and closer to Him. He is calling us to Him. He wants to share His heart with us and tell us the secrets and promises that are there. The invitation is open to all.
