READ THROUGH THE NEW TESTAMENT IN THREE MONTHS
October 5 - Matthew 12
In Chapter 12 of Matthew we see where Jesus is confronted by the Pharisees. Note the questions they asked of Him and how He responded to them. In the Pharisees we can detect what is known as a religious spirit, one that presents its way as being right and that there is no other way. A religious spirit will try to keep you in bondage by fear and intimidation. That is why it is so important for us to know the heart of God, to know His will and ways rather than that of an organization that does not want you to think for yourself.
As you read this chapter today, ask the Holy Spirit to give you a greater understanding of the Father's heart towards us and ask to be led into all righteousness for His glory and honor. Amen and amen.
