Read the New Testament in Three Months

October 17 - Mark 10 - 11

Wow! This is the second time in three days or four days that I have lost the writings on devotionals! People, the Word of God is amazing and the enemy doesn't want us to accomplish the things the Lord places upon our hearts to do. But the enemy is a liar! Keep plugging in, pressing in and keep that ole bird under your feet, in Jesus' Name!

The essence of the original post here on Mark 10-11 is that Jesus shows that we are in a place of greater accountability and placement than were those living under the Law and the times of Moses. Because of Jesus' life on earth, death and resurrection, we have been given the placement as sons and daughters through Him to rule and reign with Him.That does not mean that while living our lives on earth we are better than others or should rule over them, as did the Pharisees with the Jewish people. Rather we are to follow in Jesus' did, though He was King of all, He became Servant to all, giving His very life so that others might live and placing Himself lower than others as He esteemed others needs above His own.

It is time to allow the Holy Spirit to examine our hearts and have Him show us where we are lacking in doing this with towards others, whether it be our husbands/wives, children, or others placed in our lives as their overseers such as leaders in governmental positions, churches, employers, etc., etc. Are we seeing their needs above our own and striving to do all we can do to help them grow stronger, have their needs meet, and be all they can be - not only in this lifetime but in their spiritual lives as well? If we are continually looking out for our own gain they we are seriously falling short of who we are meant to be in Christ. Lord, please help us to live lives that glorify You and draw us every closer to You,in Your sweet Name we pray. Amen.
