Read New Testament in Three Months
October 25 - Luke 10 - 11
In the beginning of Luke 10 we see Jesus sending out the twelve disciples, instructing them what to do as they go forth to share the Good News. It is clear that not all people will welcome their coming and that the disciples would be persecuted. Today we think that we will not receive rejection or hard times but we shouldn't be surprised when we do. We have been blessed as a nation up until recently to feel the freedom to walk out our faith without any hindrances. Its only been the last ten years or so that being a Christian, or a white person for that matter, has been deemed radical. Under our new President I believe we will turn around to once again being one nation under God. And all glory goes to our God whose mercy towards this nation is duly noted by many. We are not quite there yet. We who call ourselves Christians and followers of Christ must come to know what that really means and what God is calling us to do. Thus the need for us to know God's Word and His heart lest we be led astray.
As you read today's Bible reading, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what our Heavenly Father desires for you to know, to see, to live for His glory and your blessing in Him....
