November 16 - Acts 20 - 22

Paul was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ. No doubt about it. He gave his all to proclaim the gospel to both Jew and Gentile, going from place to place. He didn't worry about persecution and trials, knowing they would come. He was all in, no matter the cost. We see his faithfulness throughout the books of Acts and in today's readings we also see the peace that he has in knowing that he has done what the Holy Spirit has asked of him to do and will continue to do what He asks, even if he places himself in unknown situations (Acts 20:19-22).

Most of us have not had to face these intense trials and tribulations that Paul did. Living in America we have had more blessings than many other countries in the world. But trials and tribulations do come, even in America, in different sizes and intensity. It could be the loss of a job, a loved one, a missed opportunity, a physical ailment, etc. How faithful are we to put our trust in the Lord to see us through while continuing to strive to bring Him glory and honor, as we see Paul do? Perhaps that is a good place to stop today and to consider our personal walk with the Him and if we are being all we can be to give Him the honor due Him...
