Read New Testament in Three Months
November 27 - 1 Corinthians 14 - 16
In the closing chapters of 1 Corinthians, Paul continues to write about using spiritual gifts given to the church as well as walking in God's love towards us and giving that love to others. In chapter 14 Paul shares that of all the gifts given to us, to seek to prophesy above all else and then goes into the reason the gift of prophesy is so important within the church and how it edifies believers. Yes, speaking in tongues is important as well, but it is prophecy that is a word from God that will encourage and build up the listener. These gifts that were given then is also available to us today but a lot of believers are not even aware of it. Once again, unless we know what is in God's Word how can we live a life that glorifies Him?
Continue to read what Paul has to say to the Corinth church. Read with a desire to hear what God is saying to you in this hour. There is a real enemy out there who knows how to steal, kill and destroy the things of God in our lives. The enemy knows how to bring division with the body of Christ, within the family and so much more. How great is the need to know his tactics and to know what God has given us to combat them? The need is great, my friends. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal all God has for you to be more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus!
