November 30 - 2 Corinthians 9 - 13

In these last chapters of 2 Corinthians, Paul continues to share his thoughts and feelings with the church, reminding him that he is going to come again and that he has said many good things regarding them. He hopes that he will not be disappointed when he does come, knowing that there has been some division within the church and that there have been those who have come in and led the people away from the things he taught that was taught to him. He defends his walk with the Lord and his ministry to the Lord's people, not because he wishes to brag but so that they would know that the apostle's walk is one of great commitment and sacrifice to reach the people with the Good News. Paul doesn't think more highly of himself than others but he does know that he is walking in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. It is a good time to consider our own walk with Him. Are we following the traditions of man or are we being faithful to Him whom we are called to follow after for His glory and the glory of our Heavenly Father. Holy One, You alone know men's heart. Help us all who say we love You be open to the leading and correction by the Holy Spirit, in Jesus' Holy Name we pray. Amen.
