Read New Testament in Three Months
December 3 - Ephesians 1 - 3
Ephesians was written by the Apostle Paul somewhere around 60 and 61 A.D. to the church at Ephesus, being passed to other Roman cities as well.Paul writes these letters to remind the Jewish and Gentile believers know that they are not to be separating one from another and that unity in the church is very important. Unfortunately, there is separation between denominations in the church to this day and we would do good to heed the message given here by Paul in Ephesians meant as much for us today as then. Throughout these chapters in this book we will see how we are encouraged to grow in Christ, to become mature sons and daughters, doing the will of the Father and becoming fully equipped to do spiritual battle against the wiles of the enemy.
Take your time as your read these chapters, eat of their meat, digest it and allow it to become a part of you. Know that He has given us every kind of wisdom and understanding (Ephesians 1:8). That it is God's will and timing that we come to these things through His Son (Ephesians 1:10-13), that we sit together with Christ in Heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6) and so much more! Praise be to God and so many thanks for His mercy and grace towards us. Hallelujah!!!
