25 Days of Christmas - Day 2

Ephesians 2:10 - 13
v 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
v 11 ¶ Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
v 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
v 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

We are his {God’s} workmanship in that he formed us from the dust of the ground, breathed into our nostrils the breath of life, and we became living souls {Genesis 2:7}, thus we {man and woman} are God’s masterpiece created in his image which is spirit {Genesis 1:27}.

To be God’s masterpiece, created to be above the angels, to be able to walk with him, talk with him, to become friends and a lover of him, is an honour bestowed upon us that we cannot fathom. The creator of the heavens and the earth and all things on the earth, just wants us to commune with him and to love him.
These are just a part of the ’good works’ that the Father has ordained or called us to that we should walk in them. Prayer, praise, and worship are additional ’good works’ that we may walk in.

Remember the time(s) that you were without your Lord Jesus, your Father, and his Holy Spirit, these were very dark and lonely, and frightening times how ever you tried to cover them up. Not having fellowship with the Father and his Son, we were in a hopeless state, and knew nothing of the covenant promises of God because we knew not God! But thank God, he called us out and washed us with the blood of his only begotten son, redeeming us, forgiving us, and giving us his holy spirit {the same measure of holy spirit to each of us}, thus we were/are adopted into the household of our Father. Adoption means that we were chosen and once adopted we cannot be disinherited or thrown out of God’s house. We are his, paid for with the price and his sons blood, and he is ours to love, honour, and obey.

Our Heavenly Father has made us his workmanship and masterpiece to shower his great love on. Whether we accept his love is a matter for each individuals heart. My prayer for each of you, regardless of the condition of your heart is to accept your Lord and Master and just see what he can accomplish with you.
