How powerful are these three chapters, filled with instruction, wisdom and godly love! In chapter 11 faith is described to us, the faith we are to walk in order to please God, for without it, we cannot. Faith is trusting God and taking Him at His Word, both the written Word we find and the Bible and the spoken Word that He speaks to us, one on one. It is having faith in His promises and living in and with them. This chapter goes on to list the many men and women who walked in faith, took God at His Word and who lived not for this life we have here on earth but to the one that is promised us in eternity. As I was reading this chapter it was so clear to me how so many of us look to God to prosperous us now, to bless us now, to grant us our hearts desire - now. But these mighty people of God, though they had a vision of these promises and did get to see the fulfillment of some of them here on earth, their eyes where on God and His heavenly Kingdom, the one promised to those who believed on Him and the One that He sent. What an awakening today's church needs, to walk in faith as these believers did, seeking not their own but God's will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Glory be to God!

So, as believers, how are we to live our daily lives?Chapter 11 tells us how others walked in faith. How are we to do that today? Unlike those who followed God in the Old Testament, today we have the written Word to turn to know how to do that and which leaves us with little excuse not to walk in faith. Jesus Christ is the Written and Living word of God who came to earth to be the Living Sacrifice and living example for us to follow. As we are to do that, why are we so surprised when sometimes we face trials and persecution? He has not returned yet to gather us all together so it is clear there is still work for us to do upon the earth. God desires that none would perish but, sadly, many will perish. Some will because they do not choose to accept Christ, others because no one has shared it with them - or, if it was shared with them they were just words without demonstration of Him working in and through those who were proclaiming Him to others. We know it is not our works that will save us, but our faith in Christ Jesus that does. Out of love towards mankind, God sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins. What a wondrous love that is. That love is available to us today and it should be reciprocal to Him that first give it to us. When God's love is living and abiding in us, we desire to bless Him out of gratitude and love for Him. His love changes us. We become doers of the Word, not by a forced obligation but rather through a heart overflowing with thanksgiving. We want to share Him with others. His heart starts to beat in us, so to speak, and we find that we do not want others to perish either thus making us share Christ with others. This is how we should be moving. We read in John 13:35, "By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another." We should ask ourselves, does the world know we are His by the way we love others?

That leads us to the 13th chapter of Hebrews, verse one, "Let love for your fellow believers continue and be a fixed practice with you ( never let it fail)." So much more to be found in these chapters. Please, do not read over them quickly but take the time to allow them to be digested into your spirit and manifested into your daily lives. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you with this and strive to move forward as a true disciple of Jesus Christ and as a child of the most High God that desires to do Abba God proud, in Jesus' Name. God bless you all today and every day with more of Him. Hallelujah!
