Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You with thanksgiving in our hearts and praise on our lips. Magnificient are You, oh Holy One, Creator of the heavens and the earth. The earth is filled with Your glory. Hallelujah! All honor is Your's for there is no one like You. We are so humbled that You would consider us who are but the dust of the earth. Yet, You harken to our pleas and long to fellowship with us. How truly amazing You are. Bless You, oh God, now and forever more!
Father, we lift to You today the state of Mississippi knowing it has suffered like Louisiana and Alabama great devastation by the hand of hurricane Katrina. Holy One, have mercy upon the people and their state. Forgive them their trespasses and touch their hearts anew, to be soft and pliable to receive Your Son Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Look upon them with favor, we ask in Jesus' name for the right they have done, for abhoring homosexuality as do You, and for being one of the most conservative states amongst the 50. Stir up Your Spirit over this land and may Your Spirit find furtile ground in which the You seed might grow and prosper, in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
