Prayer for Montana
June 20, 2007 09:54AM
Good morning Heavenly Father. Bless You, Lord. We are so grateful that we might enter into Your Presence with boldness, knowing You hear our prayers. Hallelujah!

Father, this day we lift to You the state of Montana, a place where Indians occupied the land. First white explorers came in with the Louis and Clark Expedition followed by fur trappers and traders. Catholic Church came along with along with them, setting up St. Mary’s Mission and establishing what is considered to be the first permanent settlement in Montana. While the Catholic church brought in agriculture and a saw mill, the trappers brought disease, alcohol and a new economic system to the native Indians. Holy One, You know all this. It is just interesting to see the history of a place and what has taken place there. While good was brought into this land, so was evil. Father, we know that good prevails for Your Word says "greater is He that is in us than he who is in the world." Hallelujah! Have mercy on this land. Touch the hearts of it's people to return to You completely and to honor You in all their ways through Your Son, Jesus' Christ. Let it be so, in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. May Christ Jesus be it's 'rising Son' and may the beauty of its land be transformed into the beauty of Your Presence. Hallelujah!
