Day Twenty: For the American People to Be Discerning of Candidates
The wise in heart are called discerning, and pleasant words promote instruction.--Proverbs 21:16
Holy God, all wisdom and knowledge begin with You. You alone hold eternity and truth in Your hands. Discernment comes from You and You see and discern all motives and purposes of humankind. You are awesome and wise O Holy God!
O Lord, we are getting to know these candidates better than we'd ever imagined. And yet, we wonder if we do know them as well as we ought. So I ask that You will give to the people of our nation a spirit of wisdom and discernment that we may be able to look on the candidates for office and see them as You see them. This I ask in Your name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, there is no doubt that we need great wisdom and discernment in regards to these candidates who are running for office. Please grant us spiritual eyes to see beyond the natural into the very heart and truth of these candidates that we might vote for those who are pleasing to You, in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
