Heavenly Father, today we lift the states of Oregon and Washington to You. These two states each hold a uniqueness about them. Oregon has the most diverse landscapes of any in the United States, bordering Washington on the north. The scenery must be breathtaking, so much of Your hand seen in this state with its color and diversity. Glory! Washington State is the only state named after a U.S. citizen, our first president, George Washington. So much history and wonderment in these states we live in. How often we just take them for granted. Please forgive us for this.
Lord, we intercede on behalf of these two states, asking for Your mercy and grace to cover it. Every land has its past of bad and good, these two states are no different. Forgive the wrong that has been done in these state by the people living in them. Bring conviction to those who now occupy this land and please help them to come to salvation through Your precious Son, Jesus Christ. Father, You have moved mightily in the state of Washington, where a man of God, John G. Lake, set his home to bring healing to many. Holy One, so many of Your people are crying out for that healing anointing to touch them, that they might bring healing to the sick and wholeness through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Please answer their prayers for there are many in need. Let the anointing of Your Son rest upon Your people where faithful ones are found!
Lord, please touch these two states with Your Spirit and restore the hearts of the children back to their heavenly Father, in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
