Prayer for the Territory of Cocos (Keeling) Islands

The Territory of Cocos (Keeling) Islands, also called Cocos Islands and Keeling Islands, is a territory of Australia. There are two atolls and twenty-seven coral islands in the group. The islands are located in the Indian Ocean, about one-half of the way from Australia to Sri Lanka

As of 2004, there are 629 inhabitants of the Cocos (Keeling) islands. The population on the two inhabited islands generally is split between the ethnic Europeans on West Island (est. pop. 120) and the ethnic Malays on Home Island (est. pop. 500). A Cocos dialect of Malay and English are the main languages spoken and 80% of Cocos Islanders are Sunni Muslim.

Prayer:

Precious and glorious Lord, I come into your throne room again today, bow before your presence and lift up for your blessings and your grace the islands and the people that inhabit these islands that are called the Territory of Cocos Islands. Precious Father let your loving arms wrap around these islands and people and let them know that you have created within each and every one a heart that belongs only to you the one true and living God.

This I pray in the mighty name of your son and the saviour of all mankind, Jesus. Amen.

Oh, Abba God, how You desire that all men would come to You through Your Son, Jesus Christ. There is no "religion" that is right. It is only You that is right, that is true, that is Creator. We speak blessings to You our heavenly Father. As we lift the Territory of Cocos Islands to You, we pray that they might be draw to You because of Your goodness and that they would seek after You through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Holy One, let them know You as the Father of Lights, one who does not change and from Whom every good gift comes. And the greatest gift that was ever given to all creation was Your Son, Jesus Christ. Your Word says that it was out of Your great love for mankind that You sent Your Son, Christ Jesus, so that we might believe on Him and have everlasting life. What a gift. What a blessing. Thank You Father for Your Son. May the people of this land come to know Him as their Redeemer and their King in His name I pray. Amen.
