Seven Days of Prayer Before Mid-Term Elections - Day 7

" Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance." Psalm 33:12 (KJV)

" “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not [a]fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJ

Praise be to God! Holy One, I know there are so many who love and trust You, in the the midst of chaos and adversity. In the previous days we have repented for our weaknesses and short comings, knowing it is right to do so. Now, the eve before mid-elections begin, we want to thank You and praise You for Your love, Your patience, Your goodness, mercy, grace and so much more but most especially for sending Your only Begotten Son on earth to walk, talk, teach, take our sins upon Himself, taking the authority upon the earth by His sacrifice away from the enemy and giving it to those who believe and follow after Him. His resurrection brought not only Himself back to reveal Himself alive once again upon the earth but He also brought us from death to eternal life in Him. How incredibly amazing is that! Abba God, there is many things we do not know or understand in this lifetime but what we know beyond a shadow of a doubt is that You are good and there is no one like You. We are humbled and so grateful for Your love. It is beyond our comprehension.

We have come before You in prayer and repentance confident that You hear are prayers and You are eager to forgive us when we truly mean it. In our weakness, we ask You to please help us to sin no more. Help us to be so sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading that He will quickly catch our attention before we do what we shouldn't. You deserve that we walk in obedience to You and Your will. Father, we life up our brother and sisters in other nations that have not been so blessed to walk in the liberty and peace that this great nation has in times past. We can't imagine their sufferings and we mourn with them for that. We are also grateful that their reward will be great for they paid the price to receive it. Holy One, Your Word says that to whom much is given, much is required. America has been given much and we need to rise up once again to repay by doing that You ask us to do. You are worthy of all we have for, quite simply, every good and perfect gift has come from You. Heal our land, oh God, that we would shine brightly for Your glory, reaching out to other nations and sharing the Good News along with doing the good works that will show how real You are.

Father, it is You who puts leaders into office. Tomorrow, we are praying that You will put godly men and women into office, that they would represent the people of this nation in a way that will bring You glory. "Blesses is the nation whose God is the Lord." So true and though not always deserved, so appreciated by those who love You. No matter what happens tomorrow, we trust You have a good plan for us and we will continue to praise You. In Your mercy we do ask You to please help this nation to be united again, one nation under God with the banner of Christ Jesus, Yeshua HaMashiach, in His precious Name we pray. Amen.
