Nephew leaving today for a 15 month tour in Iraq

Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift our nephew Bob in prayer and in declaration that You will set Your angels round about him, keeping him safe throughout all this time and after he returns safely home, pleading the blood of the Lamb over him, in Jesus' name. Lord, he is one of Yours. May he not be ashamed to declare the name of Him that saved him and protects him still, that he would not only be working to set people free in the natural but spiritually as well, in Jesus' name may it be.

Holy One, we lift Bob's family to you as well. This is going to be extrememely difficult for all, especially for his wife. We are so aware of what a seperation from your spouse can be like. All his and her family members and close friends are feeling the hurt and are having their faith tested. Fifteen months is a long time to be seperated from those you love. To have them head off to a place of war is even more heart wrenching. Lord, please comfort each one of them. Give them strength and strong faith, revealing Yourself to them all the more in their time of need. Please set this young man's mind at rest, knowing that there will be those who will watch out for his wife, encouraging her and helping her along this difficult time as she faithfully awaits his safe return. May their marriage come out stronger and their faith more solid. Reveal Yourself to all in this hour. May they hold fast to the Comforter You sent, finding peace in Him, in Jesus' name we pray.

And, Lord, we lift to You others who find themselves in this same situation. Please protect the men and women in Iraq and other countries who are fighting with a righteous cause, to set people free from the oppressor and may they come to know true liberty that is found in Christ Jesus. Watch over their families as well and bring them comfort and strength. Holy One, please show Your mercy and grace to all people, in Jesus' name we pray and open their eyes to the greatest mystery of all, in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Standing in agreement with my wife's prayer for Bob, his family, and all the rest of our military and support that they receive.

Our prayers go out to all of our troops wherever they find themselves.
