Fires raging in California, Drought in the Southeast

Precious Saints,

Below is an email I received from the Elijah List pertaining to the drought in the southeast. Most of us already know of the fires that are raging in California. Our hearts go out to the families out there and to the fire fighters who are fighting an unprecedented fight.

Dear ones, it is a time to reach the throneroom of God with our prayers and petitions. There is a refining and pruning going on in the natural, and it is taking place in the spiritual as well. We need our Lord more than ever and He is calling us to draw closer to Him. We must not lean to our own understanding but trust in Him and His ways. May we pray for His fire to touch our hearts, getting rid of the dross that is there. And may we cry out for His rain, His Spirit and Living waters to quench the thirst we find ourselves in, both in the natural and the spiritual, in Jesus' name we pray.

Marc Lawson: URGENT PRAYER NEEDED FOR DROUGHTS IN SOUTHEASTERN US STATES

Pray "Showers Are Coming to the Southeast!"

Some of the news stories this week have been about the horrific droughts in the Southeastern US, some including Tennessee, Alabama, and the northern half of Georgia, as well as parts of North and South Carolina, Kentucky and Virginia. It's also been reported that the drought has gone beyond all worst case scenarios and without the rains coming in, the Atlanta area will grow short on water in "90 days."

Believers, these drought conditions are dire! While praying, the Lord led me to Psalm 65. This is what we, as the Church, are to pray and declare over the Southeast now in each and every Sunday worship service, prayer meeting or Bible Study. If we will pray, declare Psalm 65, and agree with Heaven, I believe that the Lord will open up the Heavens and shower us with His good things! It is God's good pleasure to water the land, so let's declare and decree this Psalm over Atlanta and the Southeast!

Let's Pray: "In Jesus name, we come before You and acknowledge that YOU and only YOU are the ONE that gives us all good things to richly enjoy. We acknowledge You as our Source of blessing and repent of turning to any thing other than You for our help. We are grateful for Your mercy that You shower upon us, Lord."

Declare Psalms 65 Over the Drought

God's Abundant Favor to Earth and Man.
For the choir director. A Psalm of David. A Song.

"There will be silence before You, and praise in Zion, O God, and to You the vow will be performed. O You who hear prayer, to You all men come. Iniquities prevail against me; as for our transgressions, You forgive them. How blessed is the one whom You choose and bring near to You to dwell in Your courts. We will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple. By awesome deeds You answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation, You who are the trust of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest sea; Who establishes the mountains by His strength, being girded with might; Who stills the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples.

They who dwell in the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs; You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy. You visit the earth and cause it to overflow; You greatly enrich it; the stream of God is full of water; You prepare their grain, for thus You prepare the earth. You water its furrows abundantly, You settle its ridges, You soften it with showers, You bless its growth. You have crowned the year with Your bounty, and Your paths drip with fatness. The pastures of the wilderness drip, and the hills gird themselves with rejoicing. The meadows are clothed with flocks and the valleys are covered with grain; they shout for joy, yes, they sing."

"In Jesus name we agree with Heaven for Your showers to cover the land with good things! We thank You that You have commanded the weather systems to bring to this region the soothing and the watering rains. Bring the floods of Your good water to bring healing to the land here in Jesus name. Amen."

Please pass this around especially to all Southeastern US and Atlanta believers, pastors and leaders to pray and declare in prayer meetings, mid-week and Sunday service until this drought is broken!
