The Republic of Equatorial Guinea is a country in Central Africa. One of the smallest countries in continental Africa, Equatorial Guinea is comprised of a mainland territory known as Río Muni which includes several offshore islands, the island of Bioko where the capital, Malabo is located; and the island of Annobón in the South Atlantic Ocean. It is bordered by Cameroon on the north, Gabon on the south and east, and the Gulf of Guinea on the west, where the island nation of São Tomé and Príncipe are located.
The discovery of sizeable oil reserves in recent years is altering the economic and political status of the country.
The religious makeup is nominally Christian and predominantly Roman Catholic.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father as a humble son I enter into your presence again to lift unto you your sons and daughters of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. This land, this nation and it’s people have been from the beginning of time in your hands and in your heart. You have blessed this nation with natural resources but we know and understand that you don’t look to the natural but to the spiritual for all of the gifts and provisions that you bless men with. Let the people and the nation come under conviction and correction that you and you alone are their sovereign God and it is from you whom all blessings flow.
In the name of Jesus I pray, amen.
